YANGTZE and the art of assertive compassion...

Welcome! Here it is, my first ever blog! This is going to be great... I'll be able to hang onto my sanity in the face of madness at work, log developments in YANGTZE's bid to take over the world by music, keep my friends posted about my whereabouts and thoughts, and tell you all about Borrowed Time, my literary work-in-progress. This is what the net was made for! I set this up while I'm waiting for the kids to finish watching the Simpsons - Jo's away for the week on a residential with Lough. Col. where she works and I'm with the kids all week. After Bart we're getting a Chinese - sweet and sour beancurd rocks!

Not long finished a new song Cleopatra that features music by Paul Callan, samples from the lush Cleopatra starring Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, and lyrics and vocals by me, plus a bit of guitar work by me that Olwen hates. Expect a new cd before the end of the year. Hurrah! I hear you all cry as one orgasmic mass of fandom. Haven't played it to Paul yet though. Hope he doesn't throw up and veto its release...

Hoping to guest blog on the Reverse Cowgirl this week. I'll let you know if that works out, but I suspect I'm nowhere near edgy or bizarre enough. Perhaps I'll grow a beard. That might help...
